Describe some of the things that Raoul sees along his journey in “The Journey.”
Some of the things Raoul sees along his journey are the medicine lady everywhere, he sees her in the side of a mountain, he sees he at the train station wearing a dark red dress. "For some reason, I looked back the way we had come and there, imbedded in the mountain with her eyes closed, was the face of the girl, thirty feet high! For the first time, I noticed the small crescent-shaped scar in the middle of her lower lip." (p.8)
How did the journey help Raoul in “The Journey”
The journey helps Raoul because it helps him discover his journey from childhood to man hood. "He said softly, "Raoul, you have have changed completely. Your not anymore the young boy I left in Mazatlan." (p.9)
What was the problem in “The Journey”?
The problem was the Raoul had to get to America so he can see the medicine lady so she can cure his tuberculosis. "Listen woman", said Papa, "there are some people who can cure diseases the medical doctors can't." (p.4)
