AUTHOR'S INTENT
1.)The Authors intent is to show you that the dad doesn't mean those compliments he's sugar coating it.
2.) The Authors intent is he wants to tell us their family still needs to heal
3.) This is him trying to show she is fine now and feels better.
4.) When the author includes this he means to tell the reader that his questions will put his dad on the spot.
5.) By this the author means byron hears the ball bounce from the front yard
6.) The authour put this down to show the dad wants forgiveness.
